Sapp Feels Better After Dropping Weight, Coach

Warren Sapp showed up to Raiders minicamp about 50 pounds, or one Martin Gramatica, lighter last weekend. He says he feels good.
"I feel better when I wake up in the morning. It's a lot easier to get out of bed."
Defensive end Derrick Burgess predicts that without having to battle his flab, Sapp should get about six more sacks this season. And I wouldn't put it past him. Once again, I'd like to extend a hearty "go blow yourself" to Rich McKay for giving Booger McFarland the big contract and letting Sapp walk.
Sapp also didn't let the interview go by without taking a backhanded shot at former head coach Art Shell, a man also familiar with the business end of a fruit pie.
Sapp was frustrated by the developments with the Raiders and met with owner Al Davis after the season to express his feelings. "After the conversation the coach was fired the next day," Sapp said. "I'm not saying the two go together but that's the events of where they're at. I had a talk with him and then it went that way. That's just the way it went down."
"That's the events of where they're at"? That's not a real sentence, Warren. Is there something about the Raiders organization that makes people retarded? It would explain Jerry Rice's cornrows.
