In an effort to Top a Lackluster Draft Weekend

The Bucs have signed USELESS TE Jerramy Stevens formerly of the Seattle Seahawks reports the St. Pete Times. You may remember Stevens being charged with Marijuana possession earlier in the off-season and you may also remember him getting called out by LB Joey Porter during the Super Bowl. Bah! No more needs to be said

Defense…SPEED…Cool!!

Well, if you like defense, and you like speed, you got the full Monte Kiffin this weekend. The Bucs not only picked up some solid players at LB, S, and that guy we got for DE, but these players all have that killer element: Speed. Both Black and Hayward are sub 4.5 guys and can fly to the ball, bringing power to the hit as well. Piscitelli is a very fast safety who will be complimented by the slower, but still quick Jackson. Both of these guys are excellent hitters and are good ball hawks. Jackson plays Cover 2 very well, and could still be a corner, but is more likely to be a Safety for us.

Bucs Sign Police Magnet Stevens

The Buccaneers, obviously feeling that they don't have enough players with recent mugshots, signed tight end Jerramy Stevens. The same Jerramy Stevens arrested for DUI, reckless driving, marijuana possession, and second degree assault. Ooh, and investigated for sexual assault, but was never charged. And let's not forget the knee-to-the-crotch he got from Tyler Brayton in a game last year because he totally deserved it. The only good thing about him is that he trash talked Joey Porter during the Super Bowl. Now that guy's a real tool.

It's Official, the 2007 NFL Draft has finished ... Here's the obscure, I mean list of players the Buc's Drafted this weekend:

1 4(4) Gaines Adams DE CLEMSON
2 3(35) Arron Sears OG TENNESSEE
2 32(64) Sabby Piscitelli S OREGON STATE
3 4(68) Quincy Black OLB NEW MEXICO
4 7(106) Tanard Jackson CB SYRACUSE
5 4(141) Greg Peterson DT NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL
6 8(182) Adam Hayward ILB PORTLAND STATE
7 4(214) Chris Denman OT FRESNO STATE
7 35(245) Marcus Hamilton CB VIRGINIA
7 36(246) Ken Darby RB ALABAMA

I'll attempt to give an opinion on these picks later, at this point its almost irritating to even acknowledge that the NFL Draft existed this weekend (As a Bucs fan that is, some teams had gorgeous drafts, see the cardinals/browns) . . .

Not only did the Bucs pick up 10 new draft picks this weekend. They also signed a player with a troubled past: Seattle free agent tight end Jerramy Stevens.

Stevens, who visited with the Bucs last month, was arrested on marijuana-related charges in March in Arizona, the latest in a long line of run-ins with law enforcement over the past several years. That comes in addition to at least two other alcohol-related arrests since 2000, which both led to brief jail sentences.

Bucs done drafting

By Bucs Beat | Tampabay.com - St. Petersburg Times

The Bucs spent their final two draft picks, Nos. 245 and 246, on Virginia cornerback Marcus Hamilton and Alabama running back Kenneth Darby. Hamilton has size for a corner at 5-11, 188. Darby was an All-SEC performer as a junior, but his production slipped as a senior, causing his draft rating to drop as well.
