I Are A Good At Making Smart Points Guy

I just spent quite a while writing an entry that will never see the light of day. I started off making a point about rookie contracts and how their draft slotting shouldn't determine their salaries since, as Peter King and one of my glorious readers point out, the talent level is pretty shallow at the top, so players are going to be overpaid relative to their college production and perceived potential. But then I argued myself into a corner and couldn't re-establish my original point without contradicting myself, which is why I was never on the debate team in high school (if there even was a debate team. Was there? I really have no idea. I remember having an impassioned discussion in the cafeteria over whether Poison or Cinderella rocked harder, but that was more of a "food fight" than a debate.)

So, instead of all that, I thought I'd let you know that I got the prizes for the draft contest in the mail the other day and snapped a picture to prove that they're real. Because even I didn't believe it at first. I had been led to believe that getting a couple prizes for a contest like this was an arduous endeavor that required much time and sacrifice from the sponsoring party. Turns out, not so much. They just dropped the items in a box with my address on it. Take a look!

The hat is one-size-fits-all, unless you're Bill Romanowski.

Which definitively answers the question of who rocks the hardest: It's Bucs and Bulls Heaven! If you haven't entered yet, you've got eight days.

And if you have any opinions about rookie salaries, feel free to leave them in the comments.
